We ❤️ YOU 2!!

Your Property + Everlit = Private Resort

Its what we do

05/01/2026

Live in Ontario?
Picture this….

You own a $2,000,000 + property
The sun goes down
Your outdoor space ——> goes dark

Sound familiar?

Before us
This client saw darkness outside their windows
Now they see a custom resort

But… what really changed for them

1. Family/Friends beg them to host
2. Windows went from dark ——> magical views
3. Outside went from scary ——> serenity
4. Kid’s love bonfires with mom & dad
4. Wine tastes smoother
5. Ci**rs burn slower
….. and so on

So

If you

1. Own a $2,000,000 + Residence
2. Don’t want to get left in the dark

We are here to help

"How did we make the Stone Man become the source of light!!?? Is it... Glowing Stone..?

I will tell you

The Stone Man sits on a private island on Lake Huron. Our clients see it from their fire pit, from their dock, and through the windows of their home at night. When they came to us, it vanished after dark.

I wanted it to feel like the stone was glowing. Like it was casting warmth onto the rocks and water around it rather than the other way around.

To get there, we spent hours placing fixtures in places you'll never notice from the viewing angles. Building brightness from the base upward so the eye reads the sculpture as the light source. Controlling glare, aiming angles, beam spreads, kelvin temperatures, until nothing felt manufactured, and we could trick the human eye.

None of that craft is visible in the final image. That's the point.

This is what I mean when I say lighting is emotional architecture. The tools and the trickery disappears and what remains is only the feeling.

In other words... MAGIC becomes manufactured as a DAILY experience for the users of this space.

Design intent shouldn't die when the sun drops. This is how we keep it alive."

Most pathways are one dimensionally designed, connecting spaces.

This one was designed for much more

“Never Ever Land” connects multiple important spaces across the property. The surrounding spaces (not shown for client safety) each carry their own atmosphere, but the goal here was to make the path itself matter.

Not just a transition.

Something you actually experience.

You feel a compression and release as you enter and exit the path on both ends, but the path opens up just enough in between to let it breathe. It holds you without closing in.

You’re not rushing through it. You’re moving with it.

That balance is where our knowledge of lighting design and human phycology gets tested.

We live for those challenges!

This moment only works if the archway holds the right level of contrast.

Not enough, and it disappears

Too much, and it takes over the wall

This is where the work is.

The arch sits within a continuous stone wall across the property. The goal was to keep the wall reading as one composition, while still letting the arch register as its own moment.

That comes down to control.

Texture is pulled out along the arch using tighter beam angles and closer fixture placement, while the surrounding wall is kept softer. Output is increased slightly on the archway surfaces, with lower reflected brightness on the adjacent masonry so it separates without feeling disconnected.

At the base, subtle changes in beam angle and intensity are applied along the fun geometric edges at the base and within the arch itself, allowing those forms to read with clarity. Fixture placement is adjusted in relation to the stone surface to either accentuate or soften the natural texture created by the stone’s extrusion and grout lines.

The ground plane reflectance level is also lifted in contrast with the rest if the composition within a controlled radius of the arch. Further creating interest to this special moment.

Nothing random. Measured adjustments until it reads right.

Throwback to ILLI (Intensive Course) Fall 2025.

A group of the best lighting designers from around the world come together for a hands-on program focused on real-world design and ex*****on.

As mentors, we work directly with attendees across architectural design, landscape design, interior design, design-build, and more, helping bridge the gap between theory and what actually works/lives in the field.

That gap is still one of the biggest issues in lighting. It’s also where the most growth happens.

Being involved at this level is important to me. It keeps me grounded in the fundamentals while staying connected to others who take the discipline seriously.

Grateful to be part of the ILLI mentor group and to continue supporting the program.

We’re honored to share that our Founder and Principal Designer, Colton Tompkins, has been selected for inclusion in Masters of Landscape Lighting, the latest publication by Janet Lennox Moyer.

"Lighting design is an act of composition. Each layer shapes a precise emotion within a moment. Together, those moments define the experience and atmosphere of the space." - Colton Tompkins
