When we decided to hire Lee to paint a mural on our garage, we had no clear idea of what we wanted—we were simply prepared to give him free rein. We're so glad we did. Lee spent a great deal of time getting to know us on a personal level. After a month or so, he returned with several incredible ideas that were based on our individual interests and personalities. He began the work on time and was the utmost professional throughout the entire process. The mural evolved beautifully as Lee worked, and he even thought of a few extra details that added more depth to what was already a truly original and unique piece of art. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome. What truly stood out to us was how Lee engaged with the community. He was incredibly respectful of our neighbours and took the time to answer their questions, which made the piece feel like a neighbourhood project. We often see people stopping in our laneway to enjoy the work of art that helps brighten an otherwise average alley.

Painted Doors of Toronto is my initiative to help fight homelessness and hunger through mural and door art. In a nutshell, I paint beautiful one-of-a-kind art in your home or business and 10% of each commission goes to shelters and food charities including: Haven on the Queensway, Food For Now, Good Shepherd Centre and The Stop Community Food Centre.

Each wall mural or door can be customized or inspired by your own inspirations, things you love, brand story, logo, and so on. Painted Doors goes everywhere: Doors of retail stores apply to this just as kids' room murals do...and everything in between!

Brilliant Canadian architect Frank Gehry has passed away. Among so many iconic things he designed (like the AGO facade renovation), he made functional chairs out of cardboard. When I studied at the AGO, we were assigned the same task and here's the chair I made inspired by Gehry. It used and sat on a lot back in the day! Of course, Gehry's chairs were much better than this - check them out!
