In celebration of International Women's Day, we are sharing a great piece from Storeys by Neil Sharma about some of the women who are changing the landscape of commercial real estate.

Slightly more than a third of those employed in commercial real estate are female, a number that has changed little over the past 15 years. That needs to change, as improved representation and diversity in commercial real estate will only make the industry better. Hopefully stories like the ones in this article will serve to inspire a new generation of young women to pursue careers in our industry.

Although still male-dominated, the commercial real estate industry is visibly changing with leaders like Diana Hoang and Madeleine Nicholls.

Almost 90% of Americans are prepared to return to the office according to a recent survey by One Poll. Of those surveyed, 60% are keen to get back to socializing with co-workers., but many of them (66%) are feeling little anxious about once again interacting with colleagues. A key takeaway from these numbers is that ,while the majority of workers are comfortable with returning to in-person work, there is a significant level of anxiety around it.

While we usually associate bullying with something that happens at school, bullying in the workplace is more common than one might expect, with more than half of Canadians saying they have been bullied or witnessed bullying at work.
