Tile work is one of those trades where the difference between acceptable and exceptional is almost entirely invisible to the untrained eye, until it isn’t.

A slightly uneven substrate. Grout lines that wander by a millimetre every few feet. Hollow spots you can’t see but will absolutely feel in a couple of years.

The details that separate a tile job that holds up from one that doesn’t aren’t shortcuts anyone admits to taking.

Your soffit is failing right now and you have no idea.

This home had good bones and a story worth continuing. Our job was to honour what was already there while building something made to last another hundred years. The original fieldstone fireplace stayed. Everything around it was rebuilt from the studs out.

A bathroom reno is one of the highest-ROI projects you can do on your home. It’s also one of the easiest to get wrong. Not because the work is complicated, but because the mistakes usually happen before a single tile goes up.
