Good Monday morning Peeps! Over the last 30 years I have accumulated 5 German Haubold upholstery staplers. I am happy to say that these are all working after some serious work to recondition and find all the parts required. These little beasts are not available anymore and no one services them.….so thanks to some friends in high places like a shop machine shop, a welder, and a gentleman I was introduced to who specializes in gaskets I should be good for another 30 years.

If anyone happens to stumble upon one of these fine tools……Let me know!

It has been some time since my last .

These two dinning chairs received the typical care to the suspension, linings and foam.
In the past I would shy away from white vinyls as there were few quality white vinyls that had a genuine leather look and feel that was suitable for interior applications.

This really helps with those entry level price points. However I will always recommend genuine leather if the budget allows.

Good Friday Morning! There are many sewing techniques, and all of them have a name which is usually pretty self explanatory. This technique allows me to create a very clean inner corner.

However I have never had a name for this technique? Do I have any sewing peeps out there that know this technique and have a name for it?

Good Saturday morning Peeps! Like I expected this week was extra full! Between estimating , work deadlines that I have to finish and having a young person in the shop to see work for one of the first times!

I really did enjoy getting to share a few of the steps involved in the Upholstery trade. It’s pretty interesting to take simple steps that I just do without much thought and teach a young person ,to give them an idea of what this looks like and also try to an encourage.

I am very much interested in learning to teach a younger person and continuing to meet other people that maybe a good fit as an apprentice.

I am sure there are peeps out there.
Boy do I wish I was 17 -24 years old again!

I hope you all have a nice weekend ! and if you are in the Saskatchewan area I hope your outside possessions stay on the ground.

Good Saturday morning Peeps! It’s an absolutely beautiful day in the concrete jungle. I have a little more trim work to install however here is the final look. I really like the distressed grey legs.

If you have read this far…. I am excited to say beginning next week I will be starting to share my skills.

I hope everyone has a nice weekend!

I hope you all are having a nice week!

This isn’t time lapse however here is a picture of a single beginning step towards producing a perfect Diamond tuft. I like to take from the big bin o’ buttons I have collected to test fit.

If you have read this far….There is going to be some big news popping up soon. As it looks like The Recovery Room schedule will be full well into next year….I am very interested in speaking to any younger peeps out there that may be interested learning my craft.

Stay tuned for big news in a few days!

Good Monday morning Peeps! I am hoping to find a crafty builder type person(s) who may find any of these textiles useful.

Some one out there should have a use for:

an entire box full of stain samples on various thicknesses of thin hardwood,

a pile of genuine leather and pleather sample

and entire bolt (30 yards) of stretchy pink fabric!

Please DM me or text 306-530-7636 if you are interested.

Have a great day!
