Got a call about a bat needing to be relocated- and we were about a block away.

Rocky (I know, original it is not, but name was decided before I got involved) has been being a ~bit~ of a jerk, and has been evicted from his favourite hang out.

No, he is not a nursing momma; there are no babies, he cant stay where he is, and yes, I know he's to be released within one km.

Which hardly seems worth it; he may well be back before I am.... but perhaps if I find him an extra lovely spot (with free food; hes a ~bit~ obsessed), he'll stay put for a bit.

And if not, at least the people he is aggravating will have had a break!

See those brown dots in the insulation foam of this picture? Those are termite mud tubes - they are searching for more food for their colony, which can be made of millions.

The reason I love this picture is because it clearly shows that the Bora-Care I applied is working. If it wasn't, the Tiny termites (as in yes, these are in Tiny Township) would be munching their way along.

If you are building a new home or cottage, protect it against and for decades for less than the price of one ant infestation.

It's a Tiny investment, and when the ants and spread, you'll be SO glad you did it.

They fly, you know! They arent going to stay in Tiny.

Looking for a summer employee age 15 - 30 to work full time as a pest technician assistant.

Cottage Country Pest Control is a woman-owned pest control company serving Tay and Tiny Townships, Simcoe County, Severn, and other areas. We pride ourselves on our commitment to solving problems using the most environmentally responsible approaches possible.

Start as a pest control assistant; filling, cleaning & organizing tanks & other equipment; spraying or applying granular bait; and otherwise assisting pest control technicians. You aren't limited to support roles, however - if motivated, you may attempt to earn certifications.

Although the initial position is temporary - we have funding for 8 weeks - there is the potential for ongoing work beyond the end of the grant.

People who do well in this role are typically:
-- curious and willing to experiment and learn
-- tolerant of dirt (and garlic)
-- adaptable
-- problem-solvers
-- flexible - hours can sometimes be long and unpredictable

We don't sell those any more.

Thats the latest in my missing termites saga, which I didnt know was going to be a saga or I'd have started posting about them sooner.
So lets catch y'all up!

Last week, I ordered a couple of kinds of ants for my ant farms.

And the site mentioned that one could raise fruit flies (yeah no) or termites to feed the ants.

So I looked, and sure enough, they sell (sold?) termites, too. So cool! I can have a termite farm also. Sign me up!

Ordered them, paid, and started getting update emails. We got your order, packed your order, shipped your order (in two parts), delivered your order (to your mailbox).

So, stopped by the mailbox and picked up my ants. No termites.

Thought maybe I'd missed a smaller box in behind the larger one, and the mail lady was kind enough to meet me at the box so I could check.

No termites.

Keep checking daily. No termites.

Call the company shipping number and she says she'll look into it.

Still no termites.

Yesterday's email was that Blake's going to take care of it.

And then today's... we dont sell those, but here's Blake's #.

I dont actually know who Blake's is, but there's still two types of termites available for sale on the site so I want my termites!!

And now youre all caught up and you can wait for my termites with me.
