Back at Otter Lake, and the log walls are nearly to the top. 🪵
Here is how the LogLock® system works: bases sit in the bottom course about every six feet, and on either side of windows and doors. Threaded rods run through predrilled holes in the logs and lock into those bases. At the top, a ratcheting receiver can move down, but not back up. Then a spring, washer, and nut finish the assembly.
That spring is the key. Without it, any settling would leave the system with no compression. With it, the system keeps tension over time and keeps the logs pressed together.
Solid structure. Tight seals. Built to stay that way.
