🍁 Two weeks from today: the Marina Series at Port of Whitby Marina! πŸ‚

Sunday, November 8, 10 AM–4 PM: a curated indoor market right on the water, hosted by Willow & Wildflower Events.

We'll be set up with Canadian cutting boards, charcuterie and serving pieces, plaques, and other artisan wood products, in a hall full of local makers who are worth the trip on their own.

Holiday lists don't fill themselves. πŸ˜„ Put it in the calendar now.

What's the first thing on your holiday gift list this year? πŸ‘‡

🍁 We're here, Peterborough! Saturday morning and the booth is up. πŸŽ„

Morrow Park, 151 Lansdowne St. W., 7 AM to 1 PM. Coffee in hand, boards on the table, and the whole morning ahead of us.

Here's the honest truth about a market morning: half the fun is the shopping, and the other half is the people. So come say hi even if you're only out for a walk. Bring the friend who's impossible to buy for, and see what they gravitate toward. It's usually not what you'd have guessed.

Walnut, cherry, maple and elm boards, charcuterie and serving pieces, engraved pieces, and a few one-of-a-kind boards that won't be back once they're gone.

Tell us below: what's the best thing you've ever found at a farmers market? We read every one. πŸ‘‡

🍁 The truck gets loaded tonight, and it's a good load. πŸŽ„

Tomorrow morning, Morrow Park, 151 Lansdowne St. W., 7 AM to 1 PM. Last Saturday of the month, and the table this week is the best one we've had all fall.

What's coming with us: cutting boards in walnut, cherry, maple and elm, charcuterie and serving pieces, engraved pieces, and a handful of one-of-a-kind boards that aren't coming home again.

Here's the thing about a farmers market in late October. The produce has changed, the air has changed, and half the crowd is quietly doing their Christmas shopping while pretending they're just out for coffee. We see you. πŸ˜„

So do yourself a favour: park once, walk the whole market, and buy the thing you'll actually use. And say hi to the farmers and makers on your way through, because when they have a good Saturday, all of us do.

What time do you usually get there: first thing at 7, or a lazy 10 o'clock wander? πŸ‘‡ Tell us below, we read every one.

🀎 Time to settle it: most people are either the person who lines everything up in tidy rows or the person who piles it high and calls it rustic. πŸ‡

If you’re a tidy-rows person, you fan out the salami and place every grape just so. If you’re a pile-it-high person, you let the honey run where it wants and call it rustic. πŸ˜„

No judgment here: both styles look great on a board worth showing off, and honestly, we’ve built boards for both. If you love the rows, you’ll love the clean grain lines. If you pile it high, the live edge might be your thing. There’s a board for every style, and it’s one thing both sides can agree on.

So which one are you? Team Rows or Team Rustic? Drop your answer below, and tag the friend who’s definitely the other one. πŸ‘‡

πŸŽ„ Wednesday check-in: your Christmas list is shorter than you think, Peterborough. 🍁

Halfway through the week and Saturday is already in sight. Morrow Park, 151 Lansdowne St. W., October 24, 7 AM to 1 PM.

Here's the trick with gift shopping: buy the thing people use. A board that lives on the counter, gets pulled out for the roast, and looks good doing it. Walnut, cherry, maple and elm, plus serving pieces, engraved pieces and one-of-a-kind boards we can't remake once they're gone.

Bring a friend who's hard to buy for. You'll thank yourself in December. πŸ˜„

See you Saturday!
