Rescue Siamese is a no kill, non-profit, 100% volunteer run cat shelter that was founded in 1996. We have had a physical building since 2001 and have been in our current shelter location for over 10 years!
As most of you know, the shelter is currently closed for repairs. So far, the repairs are going well, but we need some help. While the insurance will cover the damage caused from the accident, we have some extra repairs that are needing to be done. We don’t like to have to ask for help, but we cannot do this alone as financially we have high vet bills from numerous emergencies (and more dentals needing to be done), rent and bills to pay, supplies, and other expenses.
There are a few things that are not covered:
• Looking for vinyl flooring (donation or recommendations on affordable prices). We only need about 350 sq feet
• Looking for paint (donations for paint or affordable price suggestions). I know the colours and how many cans needed and should not be too many. The building to paint is only approximately 400 sq feet.
• Having electrical looked at and rewired as there is a pony wall that is inconvenient and we would like removed if possible. Looking for an affordable person who could do this for us that is licensed.
• We would love to put in a new higher countertop and sink (as it leaks sometimes) since we have the cats out and are doing repairs. If we can get one donated that is great, but this can wait as the flooring and painting are more important at this time and we must try to get as much donated as possible.
We are happy to put a plaque up at the shelter as well as on fb, website and Instagram to thank any businesses that can donate. Any help is greatly appreciated.
