In between the ever increasing competition of the professional world and the shortage of time available for better decisions towards the end of one's degree, we (AESc) propose you an event that will bring closer the current students and the Alumni of the University of Geneva facutlies of Science, through the sharing of wisdom acquired by its former students and current established Alumni. d Outreach:
The projects aims at answering fundamental questions that students may have about the true business world nationally and internationally, it also aims at painting a clear and detailed picture of how professional life is different from an academic lifestyle. Last but not least the project aims at accentuating on the latest and upcoming field trends on the market (Renewable Energy Industry, Petrol industry, Academic Research). Structure:
A series of small "conferences" events that will take place every two months, at the building of Science II, at a precise date and time and a precise auditorium (A100). The conference will be of a maximum duration of 1 hour and will be followed by a Q&A session under the form of discussion and an aperitif that will allow speakers and attendees to exchange ideas and business cards. The speakers will be 3-5 handpicked individuals Alumnis of the Science faculties of Geneva. The theme of their presentation shall include but not be limited to a brief illustration and presentation of their career path starting from the University of Geneva all the way to their current career point as well as share important lessons they got to learn along the way. Commitment: The AESc along with the rest of the associations engaged commit to the realization of the project.
