What if the dry season become the most profitable time of the year for commercial smallholder farmers? ☀️🌱

Don't miss these exceptional testimonials collected by our partner

By investing in an ennos 2 HP sunlight pump thanks to flexible payment options (Pay-As-You-Go system integrated in the pump), Modibo Traoré has overcome the main obstacle to off-season farming: reliable and affordable access to water. 💧

"I am the first in my community to grow corn at this time of the year" explains Modibo. Growing corn out of season allows him to enter the market when supply is low and prices are at their highest, enabling him to earn a better income. 📈

In another testimonial, Chacka Coulibaly explains that he saved approximately $1,000 USD per year per hectare by stopping the use of his diesel pump. Thanks to these savings, he was able to hire five additional young employees to cultivate a larger area, This again brings higher productivity and higher employment.

In addition to these diesel savings and a better market price, the time saved and the reduction in physical effort are also additional benefits, because "up to 2 hours can be lost just trying to start the diesel pump" explains Modibo.

Ennos solar pumps are not just another solar pump. Thanks to their high durability and exceptional performance in field conditions, they are a revolutionary tool for the Productive Use of Energy, designed to last and allow farmers to break free from dependence on fuel pumps. ⛽

At sunrise in Burkina Faso, a farmer transports a 2 HP sunlight pump across the fields on a wheeled cart. 🇧🇫

❌ No fuel.
❌ No noise.
✅ Just sunlight turning into water for crops.

This simple setup is changing what’s possible for small and medium-scale farming:

☀️ Sufficient energy to power a 2 HP solar pump
💧 Sufficient water to irrigate several hectares and replace diesel pumps
↔️ Mobility between fields and village to keep the system secure
🌱 Better crop productivity

Innovation does not need to be complicated to create impact.💡
Sometimes, the most effective solutions are the ones designed around real daily challenges, such as this wheeled cart for transporting three large solar panels made by our distributor SIPE in Burkina Faso (https://sipe-bf.com/)

The future of agriculture in Africa is practical, resilient, and locally driven.

🌍 Great time in Madagascar with our distribution partner, MADA GREEN POWER 🇲🇬

Our Technology Specialist Thomas Hebrard visited their team to provide technical training on our solar pumping solutions, and strengthen our collaboration before the start of the largest national trade fair, the Foire Internationale de Madagascar.

We also had the opportunity to visit several farmers using our solar irrigation systems. These discussions were extremely valuable to better understand local needs, gather direct feedback from the field, and identify how we can continue improving our solutions and support.

Being close to our distributors and end users is essential for ennos ag to build reliable, practical, and impactful solar irrigation technologies. 💡

A big thank you to the entire Mada Green team for their warm welcome, professionalism, and commitment to supporting farmers across Madagascar!

From the expo to the field! 🌱

Last Friday, as part of the final day of organized by Alliance for Rural Electrification, ennos hosted a field visit at Mlango Farm alongside key players from the renewable energy and water sectors.

We were excited to showcase our new 1.5 HP model in real-field condition — pumping water from the farm pond across multiple plots, including those with a 40-meter elevation difference.

Participants also had the opportunity to explore the pump’s remote monitoring capabilities and hear firsthand feedback from our partners in East Africa, including Irri-Hub KE.

A great way to close the week by connecting innovation with real-world impact. 💡

Thank you to all the participants who took the time to come and see our latest innovation in solar pumping.

*Nairobi – Partnerships that make PUE work* ☀️🌱

Two intense and inspiring days for ennos ag in Nairobi (April 15–16), engaging across the full PUE value chain, before the start of the EAIF 2026 next week.

Great to meet Irri-Hub KE, one of our distribution partner for the sunlight pump. We’re excited to grow the markets in Kenya and Ghana together with a partner who truly values quality and long-term impact.

A very insightful exchange with EcoSecurities on carbon credits showed clearly: even with strong IoT, the path to carbon finance remains complex, costly, and out of reach for many companies without large-scale volumes.

Always a pleasure to connect with Arthur K Houston and Salim Mbarushimana from power a long-standing and trusted partnership we deeply value.

With Millennium Water Alliance (MWA) and Charm Impact, we explored how the right combination of data, financing, and partnerships can unlock scale — from fair inventory financing for dealers to accessible solutions for farmers.

We closed the day with SNV, identifying promising areas for collaboration.

*Key takeaway:* 💡
PUE doesn’t scale through technology alone — it scales through strong, aligned partnerships. 📈

🌱💧 Solar irrigation in action in Guatemala 🇬🇹

For commercial farmers, irrigation costs can eat into your profits — especially during the dry season.

☀️ But the 2HP ennos solar pump changes the game:

✅ Pumps up to 520 liters/min (210,000 liters/day)
✅ Very efficient for irrigation in low-light conditions
✅ Built to last 10+ years with minimal maintenance
✅ Intuitive Control Panel with multi-LED Display

This installation in a watermelon field was carried out by our trusted partner, FUNDEA Guatemala, and combines our solar-powered pump with drip irrigation systems, a Venturi system for fertilizer injection, and filtration systems to improve water quality.

Due to rising diesel prices caused by the current global situation, an increasing number of Guatemalan farmers are turning to solar-powered pumping systems to reduce costs and boost productivity.

⛽ Diesel/gasoline irrigation is not just costly — it limits growth.

Farmers are struggling to make a profit due to high operating costs.
And diesel/gasoline irrigation is the biggest one. 💸

At ennos, we have been active across East Africa for years — and the impact is clear: Once farmers switch to solar irrigation, they can achieve full payback in under a year, and their cost structure changes immediately.

Another step toward sustainable farming 🌱

Our distributor in Kenya Irri-Hub KE has successfully installed a new 1.5 HP ennos solar pump at Mlango Farm in Kenya, providing a reliable solar-powered water pumping solution for irrigation across the entire farm. Indeed, with a total head (TDH) of 60 m, the pump can supply water to any part of the farm. ↗️

In addition, they have provided portable solar panels so that the entire system could be easily moved and stored safely after a day of irrigation. 🔐

We will soon be sharing a case study on the savings achieved by by switching from diesel to solar energy, so stay tuned! 🌞

In many parts of the world, women are central to farming. 🌱👩🏾‍🌾

They cultivate crops, manage household food supply, and often make key decisions about education, health care, and daily expenses.

At ennos, we see every day how productive use of energy (PUE) can support farmers when technology is combined with training, digital tools, and knowledge sharing.

When women farmers gain access to irrigation and the knowledge to use it effectively, the benefits reach far beyond the field.

A solar pump does not only save diesel. It frees up money that can be invested in crops, children, and resilience.

Happy International Women’s Day!
