How does E-STATCOM manage Grid Voltage Sag/Dips?
Adding supercapacitor energy storage elements on the basis of the STATCOM device is called Energy Storage STATCOM (E-STATCOM).

E-STATCOM has the following operating modes:
1. Voltage sag compensation mode:
When there is a voltage sag in the power grid, E-STATCOM operates in voltage source mode, supplying power to the load through energy storage supercapacitors to maintain stable working voltage of the load.
The performance of E-STATCOM in voltage sag treatment far exceeds that of STATCOM, and it can achieve 100% complete treatment of power grid voltage sag.

2. Parallel current compensation mode:
When the voltage of the power grid returns to normal, E-STATCOM operates in current source mode to comprehensive treatment power quality issues such as reactive power, harmonics, and negative sequence generated by the load.
