ITS FASHION REVOLUTION WEEK

That means it‘s time to ask the brands of the clothes you wear who made them.

The easiest and quickest way to participate is by turning your top inside out with the tag to the front and taking a selfie. Then post tagging the brand and using ✌️

According to the Clean Clothes Campaign, around 100 billion pieces of clothing are produced every year. Of these, only about 70% are sold, and of these, only about 20% are worn regularly.

With this calculation we are in the annual surplus of 85 billion clothes per year. Now try calculating that unnecessary CO2 footprint, underplayed Labor, water pollution…

Meet the A—GAIN GUIDE] founders: Alisa Hager, Arianna Nicoletti and Stefanie Barz.

With their organisations .berlin and they have joined forces to create a free guide for all Berliners to help them keep their clothing in the loop.

How it works? On www.a-gain.guide you have two options:
1. Use the interactive map which shows you all the local possibilities to go with your used clothing. This includes repair shops to upcycling, recycling, second hand and much more!
2. Use the guide that will step by step lead you to the local Adresse you need for your clothes. For example, if your favourite sweater has a hole from a moth but it will tell you what options you have to do with it and we’re to go.

A—GAIN GUIDE] is not only about keeping the clothes of Berlin in action, but also about fostering small businesses and community between Berliners. 🤍

We also had the pleasure on working with the team for their current campaign, and will share what that looks like soon. Meanwhile grab something that has been collecting dust in your closet and give the guide a test run. Any feedback you have for the team is also very welcome!
