Detail shots of the latest TOMO with an Asanoha pickguard, featuring the new black Lockmeister and a stunning roasted maple neck plus fretboard.

There are no fretboard inlays except some very special side dots that are glow in the dark with an abalone ring. That way they remain visible in all lighting situations and turned out quite beautiful.

Creating the color was quite the challenge using only water based stains and the protective oil finish.

The koi fish patterned TOMO. A truly unique custom guitar with many little details that all play into that black / red / white theme.

The japanese garden provided the perfect scenery and captured some truly beautiful photographs.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do and please let me know your favorite shot, as I seem to cannot boil it down to just one… It was already tough selecting shots for this post.

A completely different TOMO meticulously designed based on all the fantastic ideas of Peter Joseph ( ).

The color of the body was something I took extra care of to match Peter‘s high expectations. I do not spray on any color or finishes, but apply stain to the actual wood by hand, so it meant a lot of testing and going back and forth to achieve this result.

The roasted maple neck is absolutely insane - no additional words (or fretboard inlays) required!

Equipped with the absolute newest generation of the LockMeister including the most advanced and luxurious looking black pvd finish.

I‘m looking forward to the massive tones, riffs and melodies this TOMO will produce in the hands of a legend like Peter who will receive this guitar asap!

Some say the TOMO 3rd anniversary model is the coolest custom guitar I‘ve built until now.

It‘s a blend of traditional bookmatched tops and my signature Asanoha mosaic tops. Pattern pieces were carefully inlayed by hand to create the image of a transformation happening on the guitar top.

And in addition to the inlayed flame maple badge on the back of the body, the guitar features a stunning 12th fret Asanoha inlay made of 30 individual pieces of mother of pearl.

So please let me know - is it the coolest guitar I‘ve built? Which one is your favorite?

Such a unique OKITA Soundbowl with it‘s rich green mosaic top, the dark brown colors of the wood and the gold hardware.

I especially love how that one piece roasted alder body turned out with it‘s spots of burl.

The three anniversary TOMO models I built until now are very special to me. They celebrate the start of my own brand and release of my first model, the TOMO.

I always try to do something new and different with every anniversary TOMO. As you can see things are getting a lot more special and different every year and I already have the design of the 4th anniversary model finalized!

The transformation to an Asanoha pattern top is still underway on this unique 1 of 1 TOMO built for the 3rd anniversary of the model‘s release.

All the pattern elements were carefully placed and inlayed by hand.
A lot of work and attention to detail went into this guitar and I hope you can appreciate all of it!
