Letzte Woche durften wir bei Bionic Mesh Design den Bürgermeister der Stadt Süßen, Marc Kersting, zu einem Unternehmensbesuch begrüßen.

Im gemeinsamen Austausch konnten wir unsere aktuellen Entwicklungen vorstellen und Einblicke in unsere Arbeitsweise geben. Wir freuen uns über das Interesse an unseren Technologien und den Dialog zu regionaler Innovationskraft und Wirtschaft.

Welcome to the team, Rudy Zahr!

We’re thrilled to welcome Rudy Zahr to Bionic Mesh Design GmbH
Rudy studied Mechanical Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, and had his first encounter with automotive engineering as a member of KA-Raceing e.V, KIT´s formula student team. After completing his bachelor’s, Rudy spent a year at Mercedes-Benz AG, in the field of crash simulation, developing new optimization methods for dynamic scenarios. His expertise in lightweight design, structural development, and optimization will strengthen our team and push towards the creation of innovative bionic design solutions.
We’re excited to have him on board and can’t wait to tackle coming projects together!

Topology optimization + traditional CAD = not a good match – even for fluid dynamics.

Topology-optimized parts deliver impressive efficiency, but conventional CAD quickly hits its limits: modeling takes too long, geometries become angular, and the shapes are often not fluid-optimal.

The solution: Subdivision modeling.

This approach allows complex, organic geometries to be represented precisely, quickly, and ready for production.
The result: better parts, optimized flow, and much more efficient workflows.

💡 Conclusion: If you take topology optimization seriously, it’s time to move beyond classic CAD limitations – and embrace modern modeling techniques.

We are excited to welcom Maël Chevalier as our new intern at Bionic Mesh Design!
Maël is currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the Institut Supérieur de l’Automobile et des Transports (ISAT) in Nevers, France.

He spent a year with the ISAT Formula Student Team, where he was responsible for the chassis and aerodynamics departments. During this time, he gained valuable experience in structural design, material strength, and lightweight construction.

Driven by his passion for finite element analysis, topology optimization, and mechanical engineering, Maël will bring valuable skills and fresh energy to our team for the next four months.

🚀 We're launching SubSimX!
Interactive geometry adjustment meets real-time GPU simulation.

With SubSimX, in collaboration with Fraunhofer IGD we are developing a system that enables designers, engineers, and architects to:

🔹 Create geometries using subdivision modeling
🔹 Make changes immediately visible in the simulation model
🔹 Perform iterations in seconds instead of hours

👉 Goal: Get from idea to validated lightweight component faster – with direct feedback between form and function.

We look forward to providing insights into our project over the coming months. Stay tuned!

Welcome to the team, Konstantin Heiss!

We’re thrilled to welcome Konstantin Heiss to Bionic Mesh Design!

After completing his master’s in body development in Hamburg, Konstantin started his career as a test engineer at TÜV Nord, gaining hands-on experience in type approval. He then joined Porsche AG as a development engineer via Da Vinci Engineering, where he worked on design checks, rapid prototyping, and interdisciplinary workshops – always making sure that projects ran smoothly from planning to ex*****on.

With his practical experience, technical expertise, and collaborative spirit, Konstantin will be a fantastic addition to our team.

We’re excited to have him on board and can’t wait to tackle innovative projects together!
