Reed Fair 29-01-2026 — what a day!🙌
We attended the Reed Fair conference as part of the BALTICREED project (Central Baltic), and it was a major boost for both inspiration and new collaborations.

We met municipalities, authorities, universities, researchers and industry partners to discuss the future of reed harvesting and products — and how to operate in sensitive lake/coastal areas with gentle mobility, protecting biodiversity while improving restoration outcomes.

We also pitched our company in front of ~200 people and showcased our full value-chain approach: from harvesting high-quality thatching reed to multiple reed-based products and solutions.

Our stand was busy — great questions, strong energy, and several promising follow-up projects already in the pipeline.

🔙 Throwback to last year’s medieval gathering on Bornholm.

The Medieval Festival is taking place this week – and although we couldn’t join this year,
we’ll be back in 2026 with a workshop and a brand new long straw roof 🌾

Our father thatched many of the roofs up there over the years, and we’ve been lucky to learn the craft directly from him.
Now we carry on the traditional craftsmanship and museum work he started – with pride and respect.

We look forward to sharing more in 2026 – one reed at a time.

Our craftsmanship begins in the field.🌾
Here, the youngest of us three brothers operates the bundling machine, tying reeds into tight bundles-
ready for direct use in thatched roofs.
