Two new reports have been released, shedding light on practical pathways for the clean energy transition on Europe’s islands.

📄 One report explores the solar energy potential of Öland (Sweden), offering insights into how local renewable resources can support island energy systems.

📄 The second report looks at deep retrofit approaches on Cape Clear Island (Ireland), highlighting how building renovation can contribute to energy efficiency and decarbonisation in remote communities.

Together, these reports underline the importance of tailored, place‑based solutions for islands, combining renewable energy generation with energy efficiency to strengthen and accelerate the transition.

ESIN brings the voice of small islands to the CPMR Islands Commission General Assembly
