My recent interest in hand drills required filling the gap left by my Stanley brace, which is oriented toward large-diameter holes. This Millers Falls No. 5 —possibly dating between 1899 and 1911— is here to fill that void for drilling small-diameter holes.
This is an 'egg be**er' style drill, featuring a crank and gears. It still needs some maintenance and fine-tuning, as oiling the moving parts hasn't yet resulted in a completely smooth action.
