A Landmark Project for Tomorrow’s Ethiopia

We were honored to welcome Mr. Abe Sano, President of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, and the Bank’s senior leadership team to the Arada Luxury Mall project site.

During the visit, our team presented the current project progress, key milestones, and vision for future expansion, followed by a fruitful discussion and exchange of perspectives on the project’s development and future potential.

As part of the professional team behind this ambitious development, KiT Studio Designs and HABAR Architects, are proud to contribute our architectural design, consultancy, and professional expertise toward bringing this vision to life.

Last month, the KiT Studio and Habar Architects teams had the privilege of attending the Italian Smart Living Event through an exclusive invitation during its invitation-only opening day.

It was a valuable opportunity to connect with fellow architectural firms, exchange experiences, and build meaningful B2B relationships within the industry. We also had the pleasure of attending an insightful masterclass led by Italian architect Duccio Grassi, followed by a one on one conversation where we discussed design, innovation, and the future of architecture.

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and be part of such an inspiring event, and we look forward to applying these insights to our future projects.

A residential concept shaped through void, light, and layered spatial experiences. The introduction of double-volume spaces across the vertical zoning creates double-height apartments and a communal courtyard that opens the building to its urban context while breaking away from repetitive facade expressions.

Perforated metal sheets and mesh screens are strategically integrated to mitigate harsh sunlight, reduce heat gain, and preserve visual connections to the skyline and sunset views. The interplay of light, shadow, transparency, and movement gives the facade a dynamic identity balancing functionality with a bold architectural
expression.

A thoughtfully introverted home designed with the main living spaces at the basement level, creating a subtle connection to the surrounding compound. Fair-faced concrete defines the project’s durable and timeless character, while layered spatial scales from expansive communal volumes to intimate private zones enhance everyday living. A tropical green concept softens the architecture, strengthening the indoor–outdoor relationship through light, ventilation, and landscape integration.
