Great to be back in Taveuni this week to see progress at Waiyevo Subdivisional Hospital.

We also took the opportunity to deliver safeguards training with the community and contractors - a key part of ensuring projects are delivered responsibly and safely.

This visit reinforced a few key fundamentals for a successful delivery in complex environments:
- Early planning for long-lead procurement items
- ECI and strong QA of designs to de-risk delivery and ensure a fit for purpose design
- Close collaboration with hospital teams, contractors and designers to carefully stage works in a live, brownfield environment
- Strong Work Programing and transparent reporting.

Proud to see the momentum on the ground and the quality of work being delivered. 65% complete and due to finish mid year 👌🏼

Great effort from our local partners Pacific Building Solutions, NRW Macallan and Design Hut. And of course - the super star Project Managers in my team Michael Vaurasi and Kunal Nand.

Senior Construction Manager - Fiji 🏗️🇫🇯

With a strong pipeline of work and continued growth, PBS is seeking a high-calibre construction professional to work closely with the Director in a key construction leadership support role.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives in complex project environments and is ready to take on broader leadership responsibility and project delivery.

The Role 🛠️

Working directly with the Director, you will play a critical role in strengthening project delivery across multiple PBS sites.
This is not a purely office-based role, we are looking for a practical, senior construction manager who understands construction, procurement and logistics, sequencing, and team leadership.

You will assist in driving project performance, supporting project managers and teams, and ensuring PBS maintains its strong delivery reputation.

Key Responsibilities 📋

• Support the Director in oversight of active construction projects across Fiji
• Write, review and challenge construction programs and sequencing
• Monitor site performance, productivity and risk
• Assist with procurement planning and long-lead coordination
• Strengthen look-ahead planning and site reporting
• Provide construction advice and leadership support to Project Managers and Site Teams
• Assist in resolving site and coordination issues

• 10+ years construction experience

First Aid and CPR Refresher training for the group. Being prepared on site matters - for our teams and for those around us.

Vinaka Vakalevu to the FNPF Team for taking the time to visit our office and project sites to support our staff.

The team assisted our workers with updating member information, encouraged additional savings through voluntary contributions, and provided guidance on planning retirement. Many also took the opportunity to set up accounts for their children - a great step toward building future savings.

We appreciate their effort in bringing these services directly to our teams and helping strengthen awareness and security for our workforce.
