Le Mat is organization of enviromental education inhabiting the village of Le Viel Audon in Ardèche region, France. Le Viel Audon is a cooperative village and pedagogical farm. It has been slowly rebuild by more than 10000 volunteers since 1972. The main vision of the project is to bring human closer to nature. Le Mat aims to participate in international projects and to create environment for inte

rnational participants and volunteers. We have been hosting several international projects with cooperation with Erasmus+

All of them with focus on Sustainable lifestyle & development, autonomy and cooperation. International projects brought us many opportunities to grow together with many young people from all Europe. We try to implement active learning methods as Le Viel Audon is ideal educational environment thanks to broad variety of activities in connection with construction, farming, gardening and permaculture. Village is situated in a canyon between 2 cliffs running Ardèche river, beaches, cave and hectares of forest above. Village is accessible only by foot.
