Well, here’s me saying goodbye to the faithful tr**ny, now on its way to the big scrap yard in the sky.

Visited the garage this morning to clear the last of my stuff out of the van, mmm, we forget what gets hoarded in the back, things you haven’t seen for years, CDs so last century, and drill bits that I thought were lost forever, along with a few other things that I forgot about, and my favourite football boots and a dozen vizi vests!

She has been a true workhorse for the last 15 years, has done me proud, but nothing lasts forever. And I can’t help thinking that it was quite poignant. Over the next couple of weeks, Paul Wilkins Electricien will cease to exist as PW Pro Elec EURL takes to the stage. This transition will create a few teething issues as we issue devis and factures, but Mrs. W, who will now be an employee of PW Pro Elec EURL, will be on the case to make sure it’s as smooth as possible.

This review put a smile on my face today! This customer contacted me last autumn because I had done some work for a neighbor, who very kindly recommended my services. The devis was submitted and signed before the end of the year, and the work was carried out in April this year. It was a challenge for me, but as many know, I like a challenge!

It's important that my customers trust me, especially as I have a number of female clients who live on their own, and having a tradesperson in for a period of time is a big deal for many. To read the comment that this particular client felt she had a friend by the end of the week is really touching.

Solving the "Grey Gaine" Mystery 🕵️‍♂️⚡️ Swipe ⬅️ to see what we’re up against today.

1. The Overload: Too many appliances, not enough sockets.

2. The Mess: Exposed grey gaine and a junction box hiding in a ceiling hole.

3. The Solution: A full kitchen rewire and a strategic new fuseboard location.

My job for the next couple of days is to take this "daisy-chained" setup and turn it into a tidy, compliant system that routes everything back to a central board.

We’re on a tight schedule to get the first fix done before the new kitchen arrives, but when it’s finished, the only thing the client will see is clean sockets and zero extension leads.

One of the greatest compliments a tradesperson can receive is being invited back. When a client sells their home, moves into a new one, and calls you first to handle the electrical work, that’s when you know you’ve built real trust.

Doing a job right means my clients don’t have to look elsewhere, and with my 𝗱é𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 in place, they know their new investment is in safe hands.
