We’re delighted to have been shortlisted for Responsible Interiors Brand at the Future Icons Awards 2026.

For us, responsible design goes beyond reducing harm. It means considering the whole life of what we create. Where materials come from, how things are made, how long they will last and what happens to them in the future, as well as the health and vitality of the people, places and wider living systems our work becomes part of.

Ultimately, it’s about designing for the long-term vitality of people, place and the living world.

We’re really pleased to have this approach recognised.

We’ve started asking where our food comes from.
Who grew it. How it was made. What’s in it.

But we rarely ask the same about the things around us
in our homes, workplaces, and shared spaces.

A table. A counter. A piece of joinery.
Where did the material come from?
Who made it?
How was it put together?

Every piece of timber passes through many hands —
from the tree, to the workshop, to the place it lives.

And along the way, something else is passed on too:
care… or a lack of it.

Because the real difference isn’t just how something looks.
It’s how it was made and whether that process respected
people, materials, and place.

“When you choose something made with care,
you’re not just buying an object.
You’re becoming part of its story.”

And that’s what makes something worth keeping.

A simple question to ask:
Do I know where this came from?

We’ve started asking where our food comes from.
Who grew it. How it was made. What’s in it.

This table started life as two full-width boards of London Plane felled from Kensington Palace.

From there, we book-matched them into a single solid piece, with a black walnut splice running down the centre. Each section was levelled on the CNC, the two halves joined, then back on the CNC to be levelled again before being processed on the table saw to final size — including a 30° bevel cut to mirror the walnut splice.

There’s something special about working with timber that carries a history before it ever reaches the workshop. This is just the beginning.

🪵 On site today installing this beautiful bespoke birch ply kitchen.

Pre-assembled in our workshop first to make sure everything fits together perfectly. Our glueless construction means clean, precise assembly on site and a finish that speaks for itself.

The family are away for Easter, so we’re getting it all done as a lovely surprise. 🐣 They have no idea what’s waiting for them when they get home. 👀
