GWD electrical

Today we attended the 2026 NICEIC tech live down in Sheffield, an exclusive event open to NICEIC approved contractors.

This is not just a day out, it’s part of keeping up with the ever changing electrical industry and renewables sector, with 20% of the UK’s carbon footprint coming from households it’s an important time for us to get ahead of the game and to help people take the right steps to becoming as close self sustainable as technology will allow us.

Amendment 4 is a big topic circling our industry at the moment and that is in effect from the 15th of October, ALL electricians NICEIC approved or not should be completing jobs to this standard.

Continued professional development (CPD) is something electricians have to keep up with every year and with events like this taking place it helps us to do so.

This time last week GWD entered the annual company golf day at Baxenden GolfClub. Unfortunately we came last but I was a great day with lots of laughs.

It’s also an opportunity to give back to customers who have and still support GWD, we may have lost but at least they got a hat🧢

Yesterday’s job down in Stoke at a brand new Sainsbury’s store.

GWD was tasked with installing a new supply for an air conditioning unit through a working loading bay with minimal distruption.👏

All work was tested and certified the same day ready for the air con lads to do there bit!

If you require a quote for any job big or small don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Merry Christmas from everyone here at GWD

We have had a great year, many ups and down but non of it would be possible without your continued support and we cannot thank each and everyone of you enough.

Hopefully a better year and a lot of changes will be put into place next year.

A well needed amount of time off now with our new addition to the family Lyra born on the 16th this month but we will be back in office from the 5th of January.

Having said this, GWD are open for call outs if ever needed so please don’t hesitate.

Once again thankyou for all your support and we look forward to working with you all next year.

Thanks
