Recent progress at the Cambridge military hospital.
From making curved plinths from scratch taking every care in matching the existing as much as possible. We are using a periodic correct imperial red rubber soft brick. Being built with the correct periodic muck.
This building being built in the late 1890s was a complete lime building meaning it’s constantly alive and moving, we needed to allow for this with our additions.
Blocking up doorways for doors to be moved and also blocking up windows to be relocated, to re building and patching existing brickwork.
Matching the existing finish being a similar finish to a weather stuck pointing we are cutting in and cutting off matching the existing as much as possible.
