Every inch of this garden was completely transformed into a warm, contemporary retreat that’s both elegant and practical.

An Ivory Beige Porcelain patio, Buff Pitched Walling stone, and Ash-Grey composite decking create a timeless palette of soft neutrals and subtle contrast. Flowing curves and circular forms bring balance and movement throughout the design.

Overgrown planting made way for raised beds filled with rich new topsoil, giving our client the perfect space to nurture her love of gardening. A low-maintenance vegetable patch and bespoke pergola now provide spots to unwind, entertain, and enjoy the garden from sunrise to sunset.

Discreet new fencing enhances privacy, while premium materials and craftsmanship ensure this space will be loved for many years to come.

Thanks to Milton Garden Products for the high quality materials!

This transformation was all about turning a completely unusable outdoor space into a serene, high-end retreat — perfect for entertaining, unwinding, and showcasing our client’s exceptional gardening talent.

The original patio was slippery and broken, offering little inspiration for social gatherings or quiet evenings outdoors. Our clients envisioned something more: a place to host friends and family in style, to escape the everyday, and to let their love of rare and exotic planting take centre stage.

Together we designed a bespoke anthracite porcelain patio with slate walling slips that is built to last. The space now flows easily from house to garden, with zones for outdoor dining, lounging, and tending to the meticulously curated planting that fills the garden.

Next to the patio was an unusually shaped old rockery that we transformed into a sleek raised bed perfect for showcasing more colourful planting. Cutting sleepers to fit a unique shape and painting them jet black is a cost effective way to make the most of an otherwise difficult space, whilst keeping to a modern theme.
We also replaced a rotten raised decking walkway and tired slab pathway to allow for safe and easy access to the rest of this interesting suburban oasis. You don’t have to break the bank to make the most out of any outdoor space. Using readily available products like sleepers, composite decking, and recycled aggregates in creative ways, as well as working with materials and footprints that are already on site can get you great value for money.

A garden planned for the future.

This garden revamp was designed to allow for our client to use her outside space well in to her retirement. Initially, there were a number of dangerous features like a slippery brick patio, rickety old steps, various trip hazards, and an unmanageable raised border. The space wasn’t working for her and the garden felt more a burden than a place to relax and enjoy her hobbies.

Our aim was to make the tiered and unusually shaped garden safe, low maintenance, and enjoyable for years to come. Sturdy new steps with handrails, a sleek new low maintenance porcelain patio, and a more manageable pollinator friendly focused raised border have all helped achieved this.

We also installed a couple of raised beds with automatic irrigation so our green thumbed client can enjoy her passion for growing veg well into the future with minimised effort. A patch of play grade bark chips also means that the grandkids can come over and play without risk of tripping over old concrete slabs and uneven ground.

Plenty more pics of what we've been up to this year to come, now that the sun is out and the plants are maturing!

Here's a fun small scale project we completed recently to add some significant kerb appeal to this family home in Crewe. Along with new brick edging to frame the mature front tree and drive, we replaced a shaggy looking front lawn with a low maintenance species rich wildflower lawn.

The benefit of the species rich wildflower lawn is that it can either be cut short to create a more traditional lawn look, or it can be left to grow longer (less mowing required, freeing up more time on a Sunday afternoon😉) to showcase the 12 species of slow-growing grasses and 23 types of colourful pollinator-friendly native perennial plants. Biodiversity increase and garden maintenance decrease, it’s a win-win! 🌿🪻🐞🦋

A Blend of Traditional and Contemporary Styles.

This garden renovation combines classic materials with a modern layout, creating a functional and visually appealing outdoor space.
A new sweeping sandstone patio forms the backbone of the design, and was built in a specific curve to make enough room for seating areas that follow the sun throughout the day. The natural stone complements the traditional influence of the garden, while features like the square top double arch and deep charcoal timber work bring the space a clean contemporary feel.

To improve accessibility and usability, we levelled the lawn, providing a neat, even surface that connects seamlessly with the patio and borders.

Mixed planting borders were added to bring seasonal variety and long-lasting interest to the space. Designed to provide ten months of colour, they include a selection of perennials, flowering shrubs, and small trees for a balanced mix of texture and structure. The plants also support local biodiversity, attracting pollinators throughout the year, often needed in a new build setting.

This project enhances both the practicality and aesthetics of the garden, making it a welcoming and wildlife boosting space for year-round enjoyment.

🌿✨ A Garden That Balances Style, Functionality, and Privacy ✨🌿

This garden makeover brought together a sleek modern design, high-quality materials, and thoughtful planting to create a completely transformed space.

Here’s what we did:

✅ Blending Old and New:
-The existing patio was retained and incorporated into the design, providing a solid base for the new garden.

✅ Stylish Features:
-A large bespoke modern pergola with espalier wires for climbing plants to soften the space over time.
-Oiled red cedar battens cladding a brick wall for a warm, contemporary finish.
-Grid-stabilised gravel seating area with a striking sandstone spherical water feature as its centrepiece.

✅ Privacy and Planting:
-Three evergreen oak trees were planted to block the only line of sight into the garden from a neighbouring house, ensuring total privacy.
-A huge tiered V-shaped raised bed offers room for a variety of flowering plants and grasses, while screening the freshly slabbed storage area behind the garage.
-Handcrafted mild steel borders, designed to naturally weather into a beautiful Corten steel finish, frame the space with elegance.

✅ Room to Entertain:
-A reclaimed scaffolding board deck forms a relaxed socialising area.
-A BBQ and pizza oven were added to create the ultimate outdoor entertaining space.
-The result is a garden that ticks every box—low maintenance, visually striking, and perfect for relaxing or entertaining.

If you're ready to turn your garden into a space like this, we’d love to hear from you! 🌿

🌿✨ A Garden Built to Last ✨🌿
This project was all about solving practical issues while creating a beautiful and functional outdoor space. Here's what went into the transformation:

💧 Flooding Fixed:
To tackle the garden’s flooding issues, we installed a 1.5m³ soakaway and 50m of French drains, ensuring the space stays dry and usable no matter the weather.

🏗️ Proper Preparation:
We removed 4 grab lorries of heavy clay, levelled the garden by reducing the height by roughly 40cm, and added high-quality, free-draining topsoil to provide a solid foundation for planting and landscaping.

🌼 Key Features:
• A durable large format Hammer Grey porcelain patio, replacing the old concrete slabs for a clean and modern look.
• Composite decking with a bespoke pergola, tiered raised beds, and Venetian battens for added privacy. All timber was carefully planed, sanded, and varnished for a high quality finish.
• A custom-built bar area, including Shou Sugi Ban beams, reclaimed scaffolding boards for a hand built tiered bar and BBQ worktops, combining style and sustainability.
• A new level lawn, paired with pollinator-friendly planting beds to encourage local wildlife.

This garden is now practical, inviting, and ready to enjoy for a growing family. If you’re looking to transform your outdoor space with a focus on quality and usability, we’d love to help. 🌿

This project was a satisfying build—taking a flood-prone, slate-covered space and turning it into a lush, eco-friendly haven that embraces both nature and charm. We revamped this yard into a beautiful cottage-style garden that's as functional as it is wildlife friendly. Here’s what went into making this garden transformation:

🌱 Eco-Friendly Flood Control: To prevent future flooding, we installed a discreet French drain system that channels water away from the property, protecting both the garden and the environment.

🌳 Screening and Year-Round Beauty: We added a variety of trees for natural privacy, seasonal colour, and interest throughout the year.

🐝🦋 Wildlife Oasis: Large planting borders filled with carefully selected plants and enriched with quality, invertebrate-friendly topsoil create a welcoming space for pollinators and local wildlife.

♻️ Sustainable Features: We incorporated reclaimed materials for a touch of character and sustainability. From the Indian sandstone slabs (which were already on site) to the rustic brick pathway (locally sourced reclaimed Chesire clay bricks), these elements look good and reduce waste.

🌿 Bespoke Pergola: Our custom-built pergola not only adds structure but invites nature to intertwine, offering shade, additional screening, height, and a focal point to the garden. In spring we’ll be heading back to plant a variety of flowering and climbing plants that will make their way up and over the pergola.

Every inch of this garden was designed to work with the clients vision and nature in mind, providing a space that the clients will use for years to come, as well as space for wildlife and sustainability. For this job in Stone we transformed an unproductive old veg patch into a brand new, neat and usable, produce growing mini allotment! It just needs a couple of pigs and chickens and the clients will be self sufficient 😉.

We utilised sweeping curves and a natural colour palette of Yorkshire Cream gravel, ‘Hazel’ treated sleepers, and Corten steel to give the allotment an organic aesthetic. We also used some reclaimed granite cobbles that were already on site to help tie the new features into the well-established garden.
