From Aughnacloy to the world stage! Wishing Andrew McCann the very best of luck as he travels to Denmark next week to represent Team UK at EuroSkills Herning 2025, competing in the Plumbing and Heating category for a European Championship medal!
Following a rigorous selection process and months of dedicated training, Andrew has been working closely with WorldSkills UK to sharpen his technical expertise and competition mindset ahead of one of the world’s most prestigious skills competitions.
💬 Andrew said:
“I didn’t really know what I was getting into at first, but I’m really glad my tutors encouraged me. The training has taught me new, faster, and more efficient techniques that I’ve already started using at work. It’s a huge honour to reach this stage, and I’m looking forward to competing.”
The EuroSkills 2025 event brings together hundreds of Europe’s top young professionals from 33 countries, competing across 38 skills and Andrew is set to do us proud!
