Not every decorating job is as simple as applying a fresh coat of paint.

This wall had suffered years of moisture damage, causing the original plaster to fail. It had previously been repaired with lime plaster, but because the source of the water ingress hadn’t been addressed, the new lime plaster also became damp and mould affected.

The failed areas were carefully removed, the exterior issue was resolved, and the wall was repaired using breathable lime plaster before being finished with breathable paint to achieve a clean, long-lasting result.

Taking the time to prepare and repair properly makes all the difference.

This property received a full exterior transformation, including the render, brickwork and woodwork.

After thorough preparation, all repairs were carried out using Toupret Exterior Filler, with Zinsser Cover Stain applied where required before finishing in Sandtex Smooth Masonry – Chalk Hill.

Really pleased with the finished result and another happy customer.

This door had seen better days.

A lot of preparation went into bringing it back to life, including sanding, wood filler repairs and priming bare areas. It was then finished with 1 coat of solvent-based undercoat and 2 coats of Johnstone’s Eggshell for a smooth, durable finish.
