sarking repaired where needed along with the rest being renailed
16x10 Forna Spanish slate with copper nails
5 cast skylights renewed with new double glazed units
All lead renewed in code 5
PVC fascias renewed along with rain water goods
Verge repointed with lime mortar
Finished with 14โ€ vented zinc to ridges 14โ€ zinc to hips

Knowing the differance when doing flat roof build ups between cold and warm roofs primers,insulations,ventilation is one of S&G roofingโ€™s strong knowledgable points

When doing a warm roof it is imperative that a vapour control layer is fitted correctly

A vapour control layer (VCL) is a critical component in a warm, flat roof system, particularly when using torch-on felt membranes. It is installed on the warm side of the insulation to prevent moisture-laden air from inside the building from passing through the roof structure and causing condensation, mold growth, and structural damage

So donโ€™t be caught out give S&G a shout

As well as priming all new timbers to allow the correct bond

Another re roofing project complete

Old scotch Slates stripped off

Sarking repaired where needed

Marley Edgemere in smooth
Grey tile used on this one with all the trimmings

Sarking boards cut back at skew stones, dpc installed, new sarkin re fitted ,lead valleys formed then stone capped over eliminating any future damp issues

chimney completely removed and skew formed from timber and encapsulated in lead

Other chimney took down re leaded and slabbed over

Sandstone plinth deteriaration was cut back level to allow us form new pvc fascia to carry all necessary ventilation strips and eave support trays

Roofline fitted in white
With black rain water goods

Looking forward to the next stages on this one ๐Ÿค
