Talk about a mega-nest! 🦅🚫

We originally visited this customer a few months back, but the nest was still active. We always protect local wildlife, so we waited until the birds safely departed before clearing the flue.Look at the size of this pile!

🚨 PRE-CLEAN INSPECTION 🧹🔥

During a pre-clean inspection of this stove, we uncovered some issues that wouldn’t necessarily be obvious during normal use.

🔴 All of the fire bricks were broken
🔴 The baffle plate was severely damaged

This is exactly why a thorough inspection before cleaning is so important. A stove and chimney can look perfectly fine from the outside, but once we get inside and inspect the areas you can’t normally see, problems can become much more obvious.

I carried out the clean, and I’ll be returning once the new parts arrive to fit the new fire bricks and baffle plate, along with new door ropes.
