Did it grab your attention?

Well it certainly did grab mine when I was first sent this a couple weeks back 😅

To make it worse, it was sent over quite late in the day meaning trying to source a replacement from suppliers was even more difficult.

In typical VB style: we reassured the tenants, made sure they avoided using the hob and got an engineer there first thing in the morning.

The Power of a Thermal Camera 💪

When investigating leaks, it’s not always easy.

Especially when it’s flat to flat or if a leak is effecting a communal hallway with no idea where it could be from.

This was the situation at this block in Hounslow. A leak was coming through a light fitting just below where this engineer is investigating.

But with the help of the thermal camera, we were able to track down a damp patch localised to a flat in no time.

The ability to see through walls has saved us on many occasions both in investigating the correct flats but also not wasting time and money.

Landlord of the property has been contacted and investigation pending.

A reminder to service your ventilation systems 🚨

With the recent hot weather, air conditioning units and ventilation systems have been working overtime.

The more moisture they’re extracting from the air, the more important it is that the drainage system is working as it should.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here.

After reports of a leak through the ceiling, we opened the access panel to find a blocked drainage outlet. Water had nowhere to go, so it had backed up and pooled in the drip tray until it eventually overflowed.

A simple maintenance visit could have prevented the issue before it became a leak.

If your ventilation or air conditioning systems haven’t been serviced for a while, now is a good time to get them checked.

Great workmanship from the team once again 👌

After a vehicle reversed into the brick wall of an underground car park in Enfield, we were asked to restore the damaged area.

Fast forward a week…

⏩⏩⏩

✔️ Damaged door replaced.
✔️ Brickwork rebuilt and repointed.
✔️ Area left looking as though nothing had happened.

It’s always satisfying handing a job back in a condition where you’d never know there had been any damage in the first place.
