🏠 We’re delighted to share that Seventy Acre Farm has been shortlisted for Residential Development of the Year (Fewer Than 100 Homes) at the Yorkshire Property Awards! 🏆

It’s fantastic to see this development receiving recognition, and we’re incredibly proud to have played a part in bringing the project to life.

Working alongside Holroyd Homes Yorkshire, the developers behind Seventy Acre Farm, we helped create a development that respects the character of its surroundings while delivering high-quality new homes.

It’s always rewarding to see a project move from an initial idea through design and construction to becoming a place where people can actually call home... and even better when that work gets recognised.

🎵 We’re incredibly proud to be supporting Brockfest 2026 once again! 🎸

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this fantastic local event happen — and we’re delighted to play our part in helping keep BrockFest free to attend.

Our support for local events and community projects is something that means a lot to us. Over the years, we’ve been fortunate enough to work alongside and support some brilliant organisations, charities, clubs and community groups across the local area.

From local village halls and football clubs to charitable organisations including The Kirkwood, we believe good things happen when local people and local businesses come together to support their communities.

And BrockFest is a perfect example of that.

We’re looking forward to another fantastic festival and hope to see plenty of familiar faces there!

📝 We're pleased to share that we've submitted a Pre-Application Enquiry for a proposed new healthcare facility in Barnsley 📍

The development has been designed to create much more than a traditional medical centre. Alongside modern healthcare facilities and a pharmacy, the proposals include a wellbeing garden and community allotments, helping to create a welcoming space that promotes health, wellbeing and community engagement.

Situated within an existing residential development, we hope this scheme will become a valuable hub for local residents, providing essential healthcare services while encouraging healthier lifestyles and stronger community connections.

We look forward to progressing the project and sharing further updates as it develops!

☀️ Another beautiful sunny day, another fantastic networking event! 🤝

Our team thoroughly enjoyed attending this month's The Kirkwood Business Movement, held at The Kirkwood Hospice itself, an organisation that holds a very special place in our hearts.

We had the pleasure of hearing from Yvette Whitwam of Beanstalk HR, along with members of The Kirkwood's Trustee team, who shared some inspiring insights into the incredible work being carried out by the hospice.

It was great to have the whole team there, connecting with so many like-minded businesses who all share a passion for supporting such an important local charity.

We're delighted to share that outline planning permission has been granted for a new self-build dwelling in Hartshead 🏡

The site is located within the Green Belt, however through the evidence and planning statement submitted as part of our application, we successfully demonstrated that the land should be considered Grey Belt. This has enabled our client to move forward with plans to build the bungalow they've always wanted as their retirement home.

It's always rewarding to help clients overcome complex planning challenges and bring their long-term aspirations a step closer to reality.

As the founder of Heneghan Architecture, Dan has built the practice on a commitment to delivering high-quality, client-focused architectural solutions, creating lasting relationships along the way.

🏘️ Two new South Yorkshire developments… and we’re pleased to be working on both! 👏

Ben Bailey Homes has acquired 71 plots at Danum Glade in Doncaster and a further 42 plots at Woolley Colliery Road in Darton, with both developments anticipated to launch in spring 2027.

Heneghan Architecture has been appointed to support the delivery of both sites.
At Woolley, we are preparing the revised site layout and Section 73 planning package, including the house-type drawings, materials information and supporting design documents.

Having already helped develop the initial layout at Danum Glade, we have now been instructed to prepare the planning package for that scheme too. This will include refining the site layout and adapting the house types to meet the practical, technical and energy requirements of the development.

This is exactly the type of work we enjoy: taking an existing consent, understanding its constraints and helping turn it into a coordinated, deliverable development.
We’re looking forward to continuing our work with Ben Bailey Homes and the wider Conroy Brook team as these 113 new homes move forward.

On Wednesday morning last week, Sara and Ciara enjoyed attending MY Network Huddersfield, hosted by Social Progress, The Media Centre and Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce.

It was a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, make new connections and catch up with some familiar faces too. The event always has a welcoming atmosphere and brings together businesses from across the region to share ideas, build relationships and support one another.

A lovely end-of-term treat for the children at Netherton Infant and Nursery School 🍦☀️

As it’s our son Finley’s final year at the school, we wanted to help them celebrate the end of term with a visit from Dixon’s Ice Cream.

It sounds like the ice creams went down very well in the sunshine!

A small thank you to a brilliant school that has been such a big part of Finley’s early years. 💙
