A new month means new adventures, new experiences and plenty of opportunities to hop, play & grow! 🐇🌱

Autumn is on its way- we’re looking forward to autumn days exploring the changing seasons and watching our little ones continue to learn and flourish. So it’s almost time to dig out those wellies, cosy jumpers and waterproofs- we’re ready for muddy puddles, more outdoor adventures and all the fun that comes with autumn 🍁🌧️

September is always a special time for us as we continue to welcome lots of new children and families into our Happy Hares Family. We know that starting nursery is a big step, filled with lots of emotions for both children and parents/carers, and we’re looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you, helping everyone to feel safe, settled and happy ☺️

A massive Happy Hares welcome to all our new starters! We’re so excited to begin this journey with you and can’t wait to see all the wonderful memories we’ll make together! 🐇💙

Forest School & Park Adventures 🌳🛝

On Friday, we had a fantastic forest school session where Trina cooked our whole lunch on the fire, the children absolutely loved watching their meal being prepared outdoors!

Hot dogs, Chips & Corn on the cob were on the menu and everyone sat so well together enjoying a real forest school lunch experience 🌭🍟

Our 2-year-olds have recently enjoyed a trip to the park for a picnic and play. They all sat together so nicely for their snack before making the most of their play time. The children were busy climbing, balancing, exploring, taking appropriate risks, building their confidence and developing their gross motor skills along the way☀️🛝

There were lots of fresh air, independence and happy little faces! 🥰

🎉 Happy Birthday! 🎉

We have another Birthday to celebrate today and it’s a very special one as our wonderful Keira celebrates her 21st! ✨

Keira is a valued member of our Tweenie Room, although you will also find her lending a hand across all the rooms at nursery. She’s hardworking, always happy to help out doing whatever is needed and nothing is ever too much trouble. Her calm, caring nature makes her brilliant with our littles ones and her infectious laugh always keeps us smiling!

Thank you so much for all of your hard work, we hope you have the best 21st Birthday!

✨ What a wonderful evening we had at our Graduation & Garden Party! ✨

A huge thank you to all of our amazing parents and carers for your continued support, for contributing to the food, and for helping to make the evening so special. We hope you all had a fantastic time celebrating with us in the sunshine! ☀️🎶

A big thank you also goes to our fantastic entertainer Merlin Cadogan, the excellent Devon Science • Science Shows, Parties & Workshops for the super science, our brilliant photographer Jayne Poole Photography for capturing so many precious pictures of our little ones, and the wonderful C&A’s Ice creams ice cream van hire north Devon for keeping everyone smiling with a sweet treat!🍦📸🎉

As we begin to say goodbye to some of our wonderful graduates school leavers over the coming weeks, our hearts are filled with both pride and sadness. Watching you grow, learn and flourish has been such a privilege, and we know you are all ready for your next exciting adventure. We wish each and every one of you the very best as you start school—you will always be a part of the Happy Hares family, and we will miss you all 💙

⚽️The World Cup 2026! ⚽️

The World Cup fever has been in full swing this week with England securing their place into the Quarter-Finals and having the World Cup for our topic! ⚽️

Our little stars have loved getting involved in World Cup fun while learning about teamwork, determination and having fun together ✨

There has been lots of football-themed activities like making and decorating flag, colouring and painting pictures, sensory trays with different textured balls, games and much more. We started the week perfectly with our weekly session from Ross at The Goal Getters which was really enjoyable and as always the children had the best time!

Now with England still in the tournament, we’re all keeping our fingers crossed… It’s coming home! ❤️🤍

What a week it’s been! 💦☀️

We certainly felt the heat last week during the heatwave, but our little ones had an amazing time keeping cool with lots of water play, ice play, exciting water fights, splashing fun and of course … delicious icy lollies! 🍦

We’re so proud of how well everyone coped during the warm weather. Our priority is always keeping children safe, well cared for and happy and the smiles said it all ☺️
We adapted our days to ensure everyone stayed cool and comfortable, while still enjoying plenty of fun and learning 🕶️☀️

✨What a roar-some week of discovery, creativity and adventure we have had learning about the fascinating world of dinosaurs! 🦕

Our children have been busy carefully cutting dinosaurs free and rescuing them from sticky tape and elastic bands, washing muddy dinosaurs, creating lots of pictures and took part in early mathematic and literacy themed games.

Along the way, there has been lots of opportunities for exploring, problem solving, counting, mark making, imaginative play, scissor skills and much more.

We have had so much fun learning about these prehistoric creatures! 🦖✨
