🛁➡️🚿 From Bath to Shower — A 3-Day Transformation!
Out with the old bath and in with a new shower area! This project involved a few unexpected challenges along the way, but it all came together over three days.
🔨 Day 1 — Strip-out & preparation
The existing bath screen wasn’t coming away from the tiles easily, so careful tile cutting was needed to remove it and move the project forward.
With the bath out, I:
✅ Prepared the plumbing and waste connections for the new shower tray
✅ Cut the existing floor tiles to accommodate the tray and set it in place
✅ Applied waterproof tanking to the walls
✅ Planned the wall tile layout ready for installation
🧱 Day 2 — Tiling & grouting
✅ Fitted the wall tiles
✅ Completed the grouting
✅ Prepared fixing positions within the grout joints for the shower shelves
✨ Day 3 — Installation & finishing
✅ Installed the shower screen
✅ Fitted the shower shelves
✅ Completed the silicone sealing around the shower area

🛁 Bathroom Renovation — Day 6: The Final Details ✨🔧
The finishing touches make all the difference! Today was about bringing everything together and giving the bathroom its final tidy-up.
✅ Mirror light and bathroom light fitted
✅ Window blind installed
✅ Window wall panelled and finished with capping
✅ Boxing above the toilet capped, keeping access available for future maintenance
✅ Door threshold strip fitted
✅ Silicone sealing completed around the edges and fittings
✅ Work area cleaned and tidied
From strip-out and plumbing to wall panels, flooring and fittings — this bathroom has come a long way. It’s been a pleasure watching the transformation take shape!

✅ Mixer shower fitted
✅ Radiator installed
✅ Basin fitted
✅ Door rehung to open into the hallway, freeing up space inside the bathroom
✅ Silicone sealing around the fittings and edges

Wet Room Adaptation — Day 1 Complete 🛁🔨
A new accessible wet room project has officially started.
Today was all about the strip-out and preparing the space properly for the next stages of the transformation.
Today’s work completed:
✅ Removed the existing bath, basin and WC
✅ Removed old flooring and wall tiles
✅ Opened the floor to access the existing waste and pipework
✅ Began the first-fix plumbing work
✅ Set out new pipework for the upcoming wet room layout
✅ Prepared the room for structural floor work, boarding and waterproofing
The room may look rough at this stage, but careful preparation is the foundation of a safe, practical and long-lasting wet room. The plumbing, drainage and floor structure all need to be right before the waterproofing and final finish can begin.

Bathroom Renovation — Day 4 Complete 🛁🔨
Day 4 was all about continuing the wall-panel installation and bringing this bathroom closer to its final finish.
Today’s progress:
✅ Continued fitting the large-format grey stone-effect wall panels
✅ Completed more of the shower-area panels
✅ Panelled the wall around the window with careful, precise cuts
✅ Continued boxing and panelling around the concealed toilet area
✅ Prepared the toilet boxing for the flush plate and final toilet installation
✅ Measured and prepared the wall for the shower grab rail
✅ Kept all panel joints straight, neat and aligned for a clean modern finish
The wall panels are transforming this space already. They create a seamless, low-maintenance and waterproof wall finish, while the grey stone effect gives the bathroom a modern premium look.
More progress coming soon — shower fittings, toilet, basin, flooring and final finishing are next.

**Bathroom Renovation — Day 3 Complete** 🛁🔨

Another important stage completed on this bathroom renovation.

Today’s progress:
✅ Concealed toilet frame and pipework boxed in
✅ Toilet area prepared for the final finish
✅ Wall panels started in the shower area
✅ Large-format panels carefully measured, cut and fitted
✅ Shower valve and fittings positioned accurately through the panels
✅ Clean, modern grey stone-effect finish starting to take shape

Wall panels are a great option for shower areas: they create a modern look with fewer joints than traditional tiles, are easy to maintain and help achieve a clean waterproof finish when installed correctly.

The transformation is really starting to show now — more panels, bathroom fittings and finishing details still to come.
