This was a system that we worked on for around 18 months, trying to get the best design and the right set-up for the business. The owner of the business eventually contacted NIE and changed to a three phase supply giving him more options for his solar set up. We finalised on installing 16 x 530W All Black panels on the front roof, and 5 of the longer and more powerful 605W silver frame panels on the back roof. There was no access to the back, so full scaffold, road service approval, and an up and over method approved by H&S was used to get this job done. A tricky one, especially with the internal walls being nearly a meter thick, but we got the job done and the customer is more than happy with the result - great work from all involved!

We would have loved to fill these roofs for this customer as their usage is very high, but as they are a single phase supply we were limited with what we could do for them due to NIE restrictions. Still, we got NIE to approve the biggest possible system, and installed 28 650W AIKO panels, connecting them up to three 5kW Solis string inverters. This system is estimated to generate 14,654kWh per year, and save the customer £4,100 per year. Great result!

These three systems came from a trio of friends in Carrickfergus, who all wanted solar installed at the same time. Their chief negotiator got to work with us and secured a great deal by having all three homes completed together! Three 12-panel systems, each connected to a 10kWh battery, all facing perfectly south too!
