A new solar photovoltaic (PV) technology will allow consumers and businesses to benefit from the government's feed-in tariff (FIT) and renewable heat incentive (RHI) as it generates both electricity and hot water.
Speaking at an investment showcase by SetSquared, Christophe Williams, managing director of British start-up Naked Energy, claimed that his product can provide a return on investment in just eight years.

Is retrofitting more energy efficient than new builds?

Investment in new energy efficient homes is a more expensive way to save carbon than retrofitting an existing property, a new study has found.
In a Guardian article, a study for Historic Scotland calculated that building an average two-bedroom cottage emits 80 tonnes of CO2 when built to Level 5 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.

UK needs tighter green regulations' on new products

The UK needs tighter regulation to control new products that unnecessarily waste energy.
This is the view of Alex Randell, spokesperson for the Centre for Alternative Technology, who claimed that more consumers are interested in finding out how green their products are.
