💖 Thank You From the Bottom of Our community Hearts 💖

What started as a small community effort to send birthday cards for Amelia’s 8th birthday quickly grew into something far bigger than any of us could ever have imagined.

After the plea went out from Matt from Lockside Steak House and Mikey to try and get a few more cards, the organisers decided that if we were going to deliver them, we’d do it properly — with as many bikers aspossible. And wow… did the biking community deliver.

Thursday the 5th, in freezing cold and pouring rain, over 2,500 bikers turned up. Led by the Hells Angels, three vans packed full of cards and presents made their way along a route lined with people cheering, holding banners, and posting live updates on Facebook. What began as a local idea became so big it was featured live on regional news.

It was truly phenomenal.

As of today, Amelia has received over 100,000 birthday cards, with loads more still to collect and many more still on the way. An absolutely incredible achievement made possible by kindness, generosity, and true community spirit.

A huge thank you to the Metro Rod marketing team for sending out the original post, and a massive thank you to everyone who took part — whether you sent a card, shared the post, stood in the rain to cheer us on, or rode with us.

1 year today Toby start work with me as apprentice, he was very quiet at the time but would love to get stuck in, over the past 12 months Toby has come out of his shell and really took all work into stride always asking questions and taking on all tasks without any questions.

Toby as complete NVQ level1&2 and and know in to level 3 he as also completed multiple courses which will help with his future career . Toby as a very good work ethic and does not mind speaking to customers and explaining issues,

It was good to work with one of our neighbouring franchises this morning,
myself and the apprentice, removed a double sink, grease trap and pipework, to allow Metro Rod to dig out a old man hole lid and frame out of a commercial kitchen to install a lid and frame for easy access for future works.

2nd Emergency tonight, hot water heater split causing the rear of shop to flood,
Isolated electrical and water and removed ready for a new one to be fitted, switch water back on so shop can still trade happy customer.

1st frozen pipe of the night outside tap in a communal area burst pipe has no lagging,
We re-fitted all the pipework and isolated it on the mains as it added it its own separate feed. Make sure your pipework is protected with these cold days and nights.

After a company in the centre of B’ham, had be been renovated last year the kitchen mixer taps had come loose on the 3rd 4th and 5th floor, they had a couple of companies come in to have a look and was told due to no access to mixer tap bolts the cupboard/part of the Kitchen’s will need to be removed,
They call us in to take a look and to quote for the works, after being on site for a sort time myself and my apprentice Toby come up with simple plan after just over 3 hours on site all three floors complete and no further work, client over the moon.
