Location: Based in County Durham with projects across the Northeast of England and occasional UK-wide travel.

About Us:
Batson Electrical Contractors Ltd. is a trusted provider of electrical services in the industrial and commercial sectors. We are a company of 17 staff members, committed to delivering high-quality electrical installations and maintenance services. Our work ranges from small-scale installations to large plant projects.

Position: Industrial Electrician

Salary: £38,500 – £46,000 (dependent on experience)

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:
• Installation of various cable types and containment systems (including ladder and tray).
• Fault-finding and troubleshooting on a range of industrial plants.
• General electrical maintenance on installations and machinery.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
• Ensuring all work complies with relevant safety regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification.
• Proven industrial electrical experience.
• Electrical maintenance experience (preferred).
• Inspection and testing experience (advantageous).
• Experience with control panels (preferred).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid ECS/CSCS/JIB card.
• Full UK driving licence.

Controls Engineer

Batson Electrical Contractors Ltd.

Our company is based in County Durham and due to an increasing workload we are looking to expand our team.
The company employs up to 20 staff members and works in the industrial and commercial sectors.
We carry out various works from small electrical installs, maintenance, and large plant installs to panel builds.

Role
We are looking for an experienced controls engineer who can work individually or within a team.
The successful candidate will work on various sites across the North East of England and occasionally work away on projects across the UK.

The role responsibilities will include

• Assist Installation & commissioning of control systems on medium to large plant installations when required.

• Daily duties will include installing electrical systems and attending breakdowns in industrial settings when required.

• Applicants must be familiar with control circuits on a large scale including motor starters, variable speed drives and safety relays. PLC experience with Siemens will be advantageous.

• Applicants may also be required to work away from home occasionally to cover large-scale installations around the country.

• Installation of various cable types and containment.

• Attend site for Fault finding on various plants.

• General maintenance of our electrical installations and plants.

The Candidate

The successful candidate should have:
Industrial Electrical Background
Electrical maintenance background beneficial
NVQ 3 Electrical installation or equivalent
Able to work on your own initiative and as a team member
Able to read and understand schematics
Full UK driving Licence
ECS/CSCS/JIB card
