Jake washing down some original brickwork on site today. Not just a clean up, this is part of how we match new to old. Getting the existing brick properly exposed lets us assess the colour, texture and bond before we put options in front of the customer. Getting the match right at this stage means the brickwork looks like it was always there, not bolted on. It's the details that make the difference.

While the ground is open, we put everything in. Data and power ducted out to the plot boundary for future gate automation, BT and internal phone cabling run underground, and a water main upgrade sized to handle the renewable heat system going in later in the build. This is the kind of groundwork decision that saves serious money and disruption down the line, you don't want to be digging this up again in 12 months.

We stripped out the old pergola and rebuilt it properly, roofed and detailed to suit the barn.
