Same principle applies for our paddocks which arguably suffer more due to the compaction caused by livestock.

This diagram visually explains the benefits of aerating and scarifying your lawn or sports pitch
✅ Before Aeration/Scarification: The soil is compacted, preventing water, oxygen and nutrients from reaching the roots. This leads to a thick thatch layer, shallow roots and poor lawn health.
✅ Immediately After Aeration/Scarification: Small holes are created in the soil allowing essential nutrients, water (H₂O) and oxygen (O₂) to pe*****te deeper. This boosts root growth and overall lawn vitality. There is no thatch layer stopping the above getting through to the roots.
✅ 8-10 Weeks Later: The lawn becomes denser and healthier with new, deeper roots, resulting in a lovely green appearance.
Aeration and Scarification are key for a thriving lawn! If your grass looks weak or patchy, it's time to aerate.
Your lawn will thank you!
