It’s pictures like these that make us realise just how much of a difference we make with our work!
The following pictures are the entrance reception area at CopperMill Care Centre, Uxbridge.

- Light enhancement making it well lit for residents and staff
- Uncluttering the entrance hall for ease of way finding and travelling around the home
- ⁠Prioritising safety by using non slip flooring and secure carpeted area
- ⁠Using landmarks such as easy to read wall clocks which can aid orientation and help residents way find through the home

Wayfinding corridors 🧭✨

At Coppermill Care Centre in Uxbridge, we worked alongside to create these beautifully refurbished corridors.

We created these dementia friendly corridors with the patients in mind;
• Neutral colours creating a calm environment
• Strong contrast of colours between doors and handrails making them easily identifiable
• Wallpaper cues being different between each corridor to help patients navigate to their safe spaces with ease

Let’s talk about corridors!

Dementia friendly corridors can help patients feel more secure, comfortable and self sufficient in their surroundings. Check out these 2 corridors completed on the first floor at CopperMill Care Centre in Harefield, Uxbridge.

With the use of better lighting, subtle wallpaper with plain patterns and a clear contrast between walls and floors - these corridors have become dementia friendly.
