Works on the new two-storey classroom block and extension, incorporating a BMA and Physiotherapy Room, are progressing at a good pace for Brockhampton Primary School. External masonry construction to the classroom block continues, and the extension has now reached the roof installation stage.

The project team comprises architectural consultants supported by Spaghetti Structures, CR Associates, SDR Limited, and Focus Ecology, with Neal R Shipley & Co acting as Principal Contractor.

Another project completed -this time at Comer Gardens Institute! The highly successful dance group based on the ground floor utilises the majority of the available space, leaving limited capacity for other community groups. The remodelling and refurbishment of the first floor will create valuable additional space, accommodating a wider variety of groups and activities and providing a significant benefit to the local community.

The brief was to create an extension to form an enlarged lobby area, alterations to the staircase, ceiling upgrades to the ground floor, full remodelling and refurbishment of the first floor
and external works and decoration.

Barnsley Marshall provided structural design support, CR Engineering Associates delivered the mechanical engineering services, and SDR Limited were responsible for the electrical design.
Snape acted as principal contractor, with specialist sub-contract packages completed by Meko Electrical Services and Cheltenham Ceiling Company Ltd.

We’re excited to share that work has officially started at Brockhampton Primary School. The brief was to create a new two-storey classroom block, replacing the old mobile classroom🎉 Contractor Neal R Shipley & Co is now on site, and it’s great to see the project getting off the ground. This has been a real team effort alongside Hereford CC, The Black Pear Trust, and the National Trust, and we can’t wait to see what it will mean for the school. The project is due to complete in August and will also include an extension to create new hygiene and physio rooms. 🎉

We are pleased to share a few photos of the completed building at Hanbury CofE First School You will recall seeing, in previous posts, photographs from foundations upwards. The dilapidated mobile classrooms have been consigned to the tip. Again, our thanks extend to the design team, main contractor, their sub-contractors, our client and Worcestershire County Council for their support. It’s been fun 🥳

We’ve just about caught our breath after completing the Worcester City Run in support of Acorns Children’s Hospice! For some of our team, it was their very first 10k, while others were experienced runners aiming for new personal bests. Thankfully, the rain held off, and we’re thrilled to share that we raised over £2,000 for Acorns Children's Hospice . A huge thank you to everyone who supported and sponsored us and our runners from PR Associates , Perryfields Primary Pru, Hagley Primary School Redhill Primary School and Woodrow Primary!

The project Hanbury CofE First Schoolcontinues to grow. The roof structure is almost complete and the new building was largely watertight at the end of the school term. Watching the scheme emerge and looking like the design drawings is always exciting (maybe not quite at fever pitch but we’re getting there!). A building project is a team effort and we are keen not to forget this when we make posts. Thank you to all involved so far and to the tradespeople to come when fitting out commences.
