We’re pleased to welcome Stars Roofing Ltd as an WIDOPAN Approved Contractor following completion of their WIDOPAN cold applied liquid waterproofing systems training. We look forward to supporting them in future projects.

It was great to have the team at our specialist facility for hands on training sessions, learning the correct preparation, detailing and application methods behind the WIDOPAN systems.

Most waterproofing systems are judged after installation.
This one was tested before the contract was even awarded.
At Rylands Roof, Manchester, live patch trials were carried out on some of the project’s most complex detailing areas, giving the design team at Domis Construction confidence not only in the system itself, but also in the accredited and experienced team behind it.

For architects and specifiers, having technical support on site helps remove uncertainty before works begin.

Tony from SWC gives an insight into the project at Rylands, Manchester, speaking with darren hilton from Widopan.

Size: 4,000m²

Application of a WIDOPAN-Universal primer followed by the WIDOPAN-FD 2K 2-component polyester waterproofing system, including a fleck finish with WIDOCRYL-Topsiegel.

Test patches were completed ahead of the main works, giving clear proof of the system’s performance and how straightforward it is to apply. The client was very happy before moving forward.

We’ve been supporting the project with regular site visits and will continue to share updates as works progress.

A 2-component waterproofing system works differently, and that shows on site.
WIDOPAN-FD 2K is a 2-component waterproofing system, and cures through chemical reaction rather than relying on air drying.

With only 2 components, it means less complexity on site, simplifying application, resulting in faster installs and more consistent, reliable performance.

A great day at Wembley Stadium today carrying out a site visit to review waterproofing repairs alongside our approved contractors. Collaboration on projects like this is key to ensuring the right solution is specified and installed to the highest standard. Always good to see systems performing in real-world conditions and work closely with the teams delivering them on site.
