That moment when you know that summer has come to an end - August bank holiday weekend, absolutely lashing it down and a call comes in from a customer who was unable to lock their front door.

✅ Onsite within 30 minutes
✅ Fault diagnosed and new multipoint mechanism supplied and fitted
✅ New euro cylinder also supplied and fitted with three new keys
✅ Door realigned and now sitting squarely in the frame
✅ Door cleaned down after the repairs

Well , I always tell customers “we never know how the day is going to go, or where we are going to end up” and whilst today was no different - I honestly did not expect today to end the way that it has.

Apologies in advance for the photo, but I just want next weeks customers to know why I look the way that I do.

So tonight we finished our day the normal way, the way that I love - downtime with Roxy in Newbridge Fields. No hassle, no grief, just me, Roxy and her tennis balls. Tonight was no different to any other night, apart from when we got back to the van, some random guy decides to open up my passenger door, ask for “wet wipes” and then because I said that I didn’t have any, he decides to start punching the van and trying to pull off the wing mirrors.

Now, maybe I was right - maybe I was wrong, but I opened my drivers door, and in the best “kings English” asked him WTF he was doing - then he attacked me.

Am I angry ? Hell yes I am - but not because of this injury, but because its taken me 2 years of hard work, time and love to get Roxy to where she is today, and tonight has scared her to the point that she is now back cowering again, and whist she is now safe at home - I am currently sat in A&E having to have tetanus and hepatitis B jabs, when I should be with her ! .

Now I know this might sound as if there is more to this, but there’s not. This was Totally unproved, punched, bitten and all caught on cctv and yes the police have arrested him.

Saturday Morning , and a call comes in from Porthcawl Town Council requesting our help, as someone ( and I’m being kind now ) had decided to vandalise one of the toilets on the outside of Griffin Park. Now, was packed this morning, it’s a beautiful day ( 23 degrees ) Griffin Park was really busy with children playing - and the toilet doors had been purposely damaged 😤.

These doors are electronically locked and unlocked from the inside of the cubicle, and the damage caused was not only extensive, but also potentially dangerous for anyone else. I don’t get the mindset of some people, this door had been physically kicked open from the inside during the night !.

So we did what we do, We repaired it !

✅ New door lock replaced
✅ New electronic striker plate replaced
✅ Door now locking and unlocking from the inside of cubicle
✅ Another toilet back fully
functioning
✅ Some “very relieved”( literally) members of the public
✅ Happy Saturday 😁

So I have been told today that we need to post more on Facebook - I honestly do not know how people have the time 🙈. Today consisted of 07.00am newbridge fields for an hour with the precious one, followed by a day of door repairs and lock changes in and then finishing off the evening heading back down the M4 and repairing this failed door mechanism in before heading back down to newbridge fields for some downtime with my partner in crime, before coming home at 21.30 for an hour of invoicing 🧾.

Not complaining, I absolutely love my job, but sometimes I just think “where has the day gone” 🤣

Sunday afternoon in the sun, and a call comes in from another customer on the estate who was struggling to lock their front composite door. No Problem !
