"Shout out to the so called local 'Chimney Sweep', who takes 15 minutes to clean a stove with an unlined masonry flue!" 🤦🏻‍♂️
This is the 4th job I've been to recently, where you have failed to clear off the top of the closure plate, risking lives and property (and yes, I can evidence it)! 🔥
Please do everyone a favour and either do the job properly, that you're paid for, or change your trade, as I'm getting sick of cleaning up your sloppiness! 💪🏼

📸 DRONE SURVEY UPDATE: IMPORTANT FINDINGS

We recently carried out a detailed drone survey to investigate reports of debris falling into a lined stove — to get a clear, close-up look at exactly what was going on safely and thoroughly.

Here's what we found:
❌ No bird protection installed — this is a required standard fitting for any flue liner, to prevent birds, nesting material and debris from entering the system.
❌ Liner incorrectly installed — the liner is not secured at its termination point at the top of the stack. Instead of being properly fixed and sealed, it is hanging free. This is a significant issue: it can lead to further debris falling in, poor performance, potential safety risks, and premature failure of the liner.

If you're noticing debris, strange draughts, unusual performance or suspect your liner may not be fitted correctly — don't wait. Issues like this don't fix themselves, and can become dangerous or costly to put right later.
