M JUPP Construction Ltd your local professional builders Mark Jupp the owner of the Brighton based building company, started work as a builder back in 1994.

He is a qualified City & Guilds bricklayer by trade and started originally with his father Ken Jupp (the founder) who was a local builder for over 40 years. Together they professionally helped people to build and renovate their homes to meet high standards. As the business developed, they had a small team of professional tradesman working with them. The business was purely based on word of mouth o

nly. Sadly in 2013, Ken Jupp died suddenly. Mark has successfully carried the business on as M Jupp Construction, to make his father proud. The company has been built on a foundation of traditional skills, knowledge and experience.

Our two lead chippies have smashed it out of the park with this bespoke 4.5-metre tall bespoke library bookcase, fully hand-built from scratch on site.

Combining the stability of engineered MDF with stunning oak vinyl and solid oak feature details, this build delivers the perfect blend of structural precision and high-end finish.

Just wrapped up this sleek, compact courtyard hidden away in the Seven Dials area of Brighton.
Getting materials in and out with no rear access is always a bit of a workout, but the result speaks for itself: a bright, crisp sun trap finished in clean white porcelain. ☀️

👉 A quick note on porcelain paving: We’ve seen a lot of dodgy patio installs lately. A patio might look good the day it’s laid, but if the ground prep, full-mortar bed, and slurry primer aren't done properly, porcelain will start lifting and failing within months. Doing it right the first time is everything.
Stay tuned—we’re also finishing off the extension attached to this project. It features an incredible 4-metre high ceiling that’s being turned into a bespoke home library! Full photos coming very soon. 📚👇

I won't pretend the last few weeks haven't taken their toll — running this many moving parts across Sussex gets stressful! But standing back and looking at what the lads have built this week makes me bloody proud.

🛠️ WE ARE HIRING: General Builder / All-Rounder (Brighton & Hove Area)
Due to a massive pipeline of commercial refurbishments, extensions, and structural projects, M Jupp Construction Ltd is looking for an experienced, reliable General Builder to join our permanent in-house squad.

We are an established local contractor holding Constructionline Gold and SafeContractor Gold accreditations. We do things the right way.

What we are looking for:
A solid, reliable all-rounder with strong experience in general building, structural alterations, and site prep.
Must have a full UK driving license and your own transport (car or small van) to get to and from sites. Materials will always be dropped directly to the site for you.

Must have your own basic tools and a proper work ethic.

CIS registration will be required to get set up on our payroll.
Position Details & What we offer:
Trial Period: Position starts on a 1-week paid trial to ensure a good fit with the team and our standards.

Company Vehicle: For the right candidate, a company vehicle can be supplied going forward once the trial period and initial training are completed.

Excellent, competitive rates based on experience (paid weekly).
Consistent, long-term local work across Brighton, Hove, and Sussex.

☀️ Looking at the forecast this week, things are heating up! With temperatures set to climb into the 30s, our number one priority at M Jupp Construction Ltd is keeping the workforce safe, sharp, and fully hydrated.
A hot site can slow things down, but our team stays on it because we look after our blokes. We're making sure all our sites across Brighton, Hove, and Southwick are fully stocked with cold water, and everyone is taking regular hydration breaks.

🛠️ Father’s Day Dedication: Honoring Our Roots
Today being Father’s Day, we want to take a moment to look back and pay tribute to the man who started it all.
My dad passed away in September 2013, and long before we were M Jupp Construction Ltd, he laid the very first bricks of this business under the name KJ Builders.
He taught us that a reputation isn't given; it's built through hard work, grit, and doing a proper job every single day. Without the rock-solid foundation, knowledge, and values he passed down to us, we wouldn't be standing where we are today.
I know he would be incredibly proud to see his legacy continuing to grow. He’d be smiling from ear to ear knowing that the family business is now officially recognized as a Gold Member of Constructionline and a Gold Member of SafeContractor. From the small local setups of KJ Builders to achieving the highest professional safety and quality accreditations in the UK, his standards are still at the heart of everything we do.
To the man who taught us how to build things to last—Happy Father’s Day, Dad. We're still building on your foundation.
