Top questions we get from contractors and construction clients (and quick answers):
️⃣ “Can we move soils before results?” → Most likely no unless receiving sites can quarantine and test on arrival (as our facilities can do for certain jobs such as streetworks arisings.)
️⃣ “Do we need WAC?” → WM3 classification testing first; WAC if landfill route requires it.
️⃣ “Is it hazardous?” → depends on evidence - lab results, photos, waste classification.
️⃣ “Can it be reused?” → often yes, with the right plan and verification.
️⃣ “How many samples do we need?” → representative, by area/type/layer/contamination.
️⃣ Can you deal with multiple contaminants such as asbestos, heavy metals and hydrocarbons → Yes, we can. We provide both on-site and off-site treatment solutions depending on your site needs and programme.
️⃣ “Why was our load rejected?” → wrong paperwork or misclassification, waste not as described. This is why we prefer handling the sampling, classification and paperwork for clients to ensure materials are correctly classified and the same visually as well as on the paper.
️⃣ “Can you help mid-job?” → yes, but earlier saves more.
️⃣ “Can we reduce wagons?” → potentially yes with the right segregation + treatment + reuse baked in.
🔟 “Can you do end-to-end?” → Yes we can do all of the sampling, testing, WM3 classification, logistics, treatment, verification.
