A new requirement comes into force today affecting all trades working on or using scaffolding.

All operatives will now be required to complete a:
👉 Mandatory 3-Day Scaffolding Awareness Safety Course

This aims to improve:
✔️ Ladder skills
✔️ Understanding of scaffold safety regulations
✔️ Access and stability awareness
✔️ Fall prevention techniques
✔️ Emergency procedures

No certificate = No access to scaffolds

Following the completion of their Wheelbarrow Users Licence, all Supervisors and Site Managers should ensure all teams are briefed and arrangements are in place to maintain compliance.

New legal guidance has been issued by the DVSA regarding load security. If you’re a builder, roofer, scaffolder or other trade and carry material, plant or equipment then this guidance is relevant to you!
