RENOVATION PHOTO DUMP!

Pictures are a bit late but the job was actually completed before Christmas and on schedule.. I guess my work is better than my social media posting 😆

The customer is over the moon with the result and to be honest, so am I.

I’m now fully booked for the rest of January but I do have some availability for two more jobs in Feb. If you’d like a quote please get in touch.

Windows are in! Thanks to the amazing Justin from Prestige Home Improvements, really impressed with his work and professionalism. Even personally drove to collect the glass early to help me out and keep me on track. Can’t recommend him highly enough and he does everything, not just windows. 07921 225981.

Second picture is just me blowing my own trumpet. It took multiple batons, packers and lots of time and patience to get that level, cut around the door frame in one piece and then joining onto a sloping roof perfectly.

I’m going to have some spare days in a couple weeks when the plaster is drying, if you know anyone in Hayes, Bromley, Coney hall or Croydon that needs a small/medium size plastering job doing, send them my way.

Bit of a slow and painful day today. When you are as much of a perfectionist as I am, who HATES to be defeated by anything, and you’re working in an area that someone else created (who clearly isn’t a perfectionist 🤣🤣) it can be a nightmare getting things exactly how you want!

I like to get my plasterboard on in as big a pieces as possible to minimise the possibility of cracking. Doing that in a room where NOTHING is square, or even remotely close to being square, to ANYTHING else in the room it can make things very fiddly.

Where many would have cut their losses and just used a couple of smaller pieces and been done in 20 mins, I chose to use templates, cut parallelograms, waste some plasterboard and spend 3 hours on it…. But I got it done exactly how I wanted it done in the end!

Today I may have felt like I lost a few battles, but ultimately I’m winning the war!

Progress coming along nicely. Electrics are run in, walls and ceiling fully insulated, stud wall removed and new one installed and plasterboarding underway. New windows going in hopefully at the weekend and next week should be onto plastering 🙏🏻🙏🏻
