▪️Crittall style aluminium windows & doors installed a few months back to a garage conversion in ▪️

By utilising the original garage opening, it allowed us to install a full width picture window to the front of the conversion. The client wanted as much light into the room as possible whilst keeping the industrial/Crittall look; which is where we suggested a fixed frame with overlap astragal bars. Unlike the standard astragal bars often featured on aluminium window systems, these have been designed and manufactured to look like the bars seen on the original Crittall iterations. We also installed a heritage style casement to the rear as well as a heritage style back door.

Happy New Years! 🎉

With this being our first week back in action we are looking ahead to 2025; in which we plan to be much more active on the socials to showcase some projects throughout the year.

We start the year with this install from the back end of 2024 situated in Sidcup, Bexley.

We were approached by the client to replace the full house of original timber sash windows/casements with a more energy efficient and maintenance free solution for their tenanted property.

With very strong emphasis on maintaining the period features of the property whilst being a cost effective option for a tenanted property; we landed on our standard uPVC sash offering. With the new 37mm mid-rail (where the 2 horizontally sashes meet), white woodgrain foil both inside & outside and authentic run-through sash horns; it ticked all the boxes for what was required for the project.

🏡 Two sets of apartments recently completed in Bromley🏡

New white uPVC EnergyPlus casements installed to two first floor apartments that lie within a conservation area. The client had previously replaced the windows in timber just 5 years prior but was now after a maintenance free solution for the properties he currently has rented out.

The windows have been specified with equal sightline throughout and a mixture of astragal bars and leaded glass to match the existing configuration to be as sympathetic as possible to the conservation area and aesthetics of this period property.

🏡We recently installed windows and doors to a lovely Victoria terraced house in South London as part of the clients renovation plans🏡

🪟The client specified uPVC sash windows to the front (to replicate the original timber sashes in place previously) with casements to the rear and aluminium French doors to the porch🪟

With run-through sash horns and astragal bars to the front we have managed to keep the aesthetics in-line with how the windows were originally.

With the original front door staying in place, the client wanted a solution to help insulate this area but not impede or obstruct the view to the front door by having a bulky front porch with a mid rail etc. By utilising the height capabilities of aluminium we were able to install door at 2500mm in height with an added fan light above at 300mm to fully open up the view.

Typically, front porches are seen with mid-rails to accommodate the letter box but on this occasion we were able to work with our glass supplier to create this floating letterbox effect and still have full height glass panels.
